The Gunflint Ranger District sent out a special bear alert today. They are continuing to monitor bear activity on Clearwater and Caribou Lakes in the BWCAW east of the Gunflint Trail. One or more bears in this area have been reported to be frequenting campsites, portages, campgrounds and other places where human food may be available.
