Fire restrictions have been cancelled for now but
please continue to use safe campfire practices.

Nancy Larson, District Ranger for the Gunflint Ranger Districts, announced that campfire  restrictions which were scheduled to go into effect at 12:01 this morning, Friday, August 30, 2013, have been cancelled.  For now, campfires are permitted at any time in these regions.

If that fire status changes, we will post any notices, as the information becomes available to us.

We hope that you continue to use caution with campfires. If you need to report an uncontrolled fire, call the Gunflint Ranger District at 218-387-1750 or the Tofte Ranger District at 218-663-8060.
