This is the trend-setter but others are quick to follow her lead. Did I just call a tree a “her?” Must be the Druid in me.

We posted autumn tree pictures last Saturday, so it hasn’t even been a full week, but what a difference in the colors! If you look at the map on our home page, you can see that the DNR is estimating the trees in most of Cook County are at 25-50% of their fall color, with the southwestern-most corner at 50-75%. And it is changing quickly! But don’t take our word for it–come to Grand Marais and see for yourself.
