If a man catches a fish in the middle of the lake and there is no picture, did he really catch it??

This past weekend marked the opening of winter lake and stream trout fishing (outside of the BWCA). With the cold weather, the lakes have good ice and most of the slush from the early snowfall has frozen. The snow is deep in most places so you need to be prepared for that.

Please remember you need a trout stamp . For those of you who like to fish northern pike, they have been banging–nice size and very active. I will have more trout reports after a few days of fishing.
